We all want to surf like Mason Ho! Now, for a lousy €300, we can. Right? We put the Mason Signature Model 5’6 twin to the test. Paddling into the wave was easy. The Softech Twin has plenty of volume which makes it perfect for chop waves, whitewater take-offs and small shorebreaks. The fish tail gives a nice, firm push right before you stand up. However, it also had some downsides. Read our soft top review here.
Watch FoamieCrew surf the MF Little Marley in France. We had a great time surfing the 5’10 Little Marley in summer waves. You’ve probably seen videos of pro’s ripping on the MF softboards. We thought it was time to show you how the surfboard works for beginner/intermediate surfers! We did a video review and blogpost of the 5’10 Mick Fanning Softboard. Enjoy!
The Little Marley is a super wide performance foam surfboard. Mick Fannings’ venture MF Softboards is quickly gaining ground worldwide in the soft top market. The MF Little Marley comes in 5’4, 5’10. I tested the 5’10 in France and I had a blast surfing on this foamie. The surfboard is seriously fun in small waves. The MF softboards are much different from other foam boards such as Olaian and Wavestorm. Here’s why –
The Eugenie by MF Softboards is a performance foam surfboard. Mick Fanning started MF Softboards recently and has brought some interesting foam surfboards on the market. The Eugenie model is a thruster that comes in various sizes. I tested the 5’10 and I had a blast surfing on this foamie. It honestly feels like riding a rigid board which makes turning and pumping much easier. The 5’10 Eugenie allows you to paddle in all sorts of waves and make proper turns like you would on a shortboard. I preferred it to the MF Twin 5’8 that I also tested. The MF softboards are much different from other foam boards. Here’s why –
How is the performance of this Decathlon soft board? We put the Olaian foam 900 6’0 to the test. In our experience it’s a fun, versatile foam surfboard that’s a whole lot more capable than the price suggests. However…I wouldn’t call it a performance surfboard and I’ll explain why in this review.
We love the design and it gives a super fun riding experience in both small/choppy waves and steep shorebreaks. We tested the board in different surfing conditions – read our review here.
